Data sources & credits
Listings in Do I Need A Barber? are compiled from the sources below. Each is named with the dataset it came from, the licence it is used under, and the credit that licence requires. Where a licence makes attribution a condition of use, that credit is reproduced here word for word.
Required attributions

- © OpenStreetMap contributors — Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0

Credited as a precaution
For these sources we could not read and quote a licence — the page states none, or it refused our request. A blocked read is not proof that no credit is owed, so we credit them anyway and record the verbatim wording as still outstanding.

Both the downloads page and the data-file description PDF returned HTTP 403 to our operator class, so the licence text could not be read in this pass. A blocked read is not evidence that no credit is owed, so a plain source credit is given and the verbatim line is recorded as pending.

Ratified 2026-09-09 on the data.illinois.gov catalogue's `license_id=cc-by` facet. The portal's own Terms of Service are generic platform terms that grant nothing for datasets, so the catalogue facet and the ToS disagree; the ratification resolves the conflict in the direction that OWES the credit rather than the one that withholds it. CC BY 4.0 requires reasonable attribution but does not dictate exact wording, so this line is composed to satisfy it. Closing this to HIGH means reading the IDFPR dataset's own metadata and the publisher's terms.

Page read in full. No terms of use, licence, attribution requirement or reuse restriction located on the agency site. A plain source credit is given rather than none, and the verbatim line is recorded as pending.

mass.gov returned HTTP 403 to our operator class on both the EOTSS API Terms of Service and the site terms. The recorded verdict notes that the permissive EOTSS API ToS attaches a non-endorsement attribution clause that our collection channel (the Accela portal) never satisfied. The non-endorsement statement above is therefore emitted, but it is OUR statement in our own words — the EOTSS clause itself could not be retrieved to quote, and is recorded as pending.

ODbL §4.3 makes the credit a condition of the right to republish at all, and it is non-waivable. openstreetmap.org/copyright: "Provide credit to OpenStreetMap by displaying our attribution notice. Make clear that the data is available under the Open Database License."

The copy permission is CONDITIONAL on four attributions TOGETHER: the agency name, its web address, the date copied, and the bracketed non-endorsement statement. Three of four is not compliance. This page renders all four: the authority name, the source link, the last-updated-from-source date, and the quoted statement.
